Following a sell-out show, ‘Songs from the Heart’, in the Brewery Lane Theatre last year, Breege Phelan and Will McLellan return to play in the Brewery Lane Tea Room as ‘The Wood of O’ at this year’s Clancy Brothers Festival.
Breege and Will have been separately involved in music for years. Since meeting in 2014, they combined their talents to create music inspired by their eclectic influences, ranging from folk to electronica and everything in between.
‘Evolution’ theme is descriptive of The Wood of O’s musical journey, from their favourite influences right through to the evolution of their own original songs and sound. The last four years truly have been a journey of discovery for these musicians whose separate talents have now merged to create their unique mix of folk, alternative and electronica.
As ‘The Wood of O’, Breege and Will perform a mix of original material and songs from some of their favourite and most influential artists, including iconic female singers Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, First Aid Kit to name a few.
With Breege on vocals, guitar and ukulele and Will on guitar, keyboard, synth and vocals, ‘The Wood of O’ are definitely one to watch out for…this will be an unmissable, spellbinding concert.
