Starting from Ormond Castle, 7pm, FREE

A family friendly two hour guided walk from Ormond Castle to the head of the tide on the River Suir Blueway looking at the history and heritage of the riverbank and observing nature along the route.

Heritage Walking Tour of Carrick

Heritage Centre, 10am, €5
Join artist and National Tour Guide, Teresa Moran, for a stroll around town, learning about the sites and the characters who lived here before us.


Sunday June 5th

River Walk to Dove Hill

in association with the Carrick-on-Suir Lions Club
From Seán Healy Park Standing Stones, 9.30am, €12 adult/€5 child
Take a stroll along the beautiful River Suir Blueway, following the eighteenth Century Navigation, enjoying the abundant flora, fauna and river life along the peaceful riverside. Includes a tasty breakfast awaits at Dove Hill Design Centre, after which transport back to Carrick is available.

Blueway Kayak Experience

in association with the Carrick-on-Suir Lions Club
Starting from Kilsheelan Bridge, 10am, €30
A three hour kayak tour along the 13km route from Kilsheelan to Carrick led by guides and instructors from Pure Adventure with all equipment provided.

Carrick-on-Suir Kayak Experience

Starting from Carrick Slipway, 2pm, €20
A two hour organised kayak experience in the medieval heart of Carrick led by guides and instructors from Pure Adventure with all equipment provided.
