Drama Skills with Julie Anne Denby – €3Clancy Festival 2018 4pp Flyer Front COVER April 23

‘Sparking children’s imaginations in creative ways’. Fun, creative drama classes encouraging and developing a natural sense of play through drama games and exercises, using their own ideas and words. Children must wear comfortable clothes. Maximum 20 participants per workshop.

Workshop 1: Ages 5 – 7. Time 10am-11.30am

Workshop 2: Ages 8 – 11. Time 1​2-1.30pm

Tin Whistle with Michael Perigoe – €3

Learn how to play the tin whistle with Michael Perigoe, a local musician who has taught workshops and performed across Europe. Maximum 8 per workshop. Beginners must know the basic scale and play 1 tune.

Workshop Ages: 6 – 15. Time: 10.30 – 11.30am.

Traditional Singing with Michael Perigoe – €3

Learn traditional singing ornamentation with Michael Perigoe, a local musician from Ballydine, Tipperary, who has taught workshops and performed across Europe. Maximum 15 per workshop.

Ages 6 – 15. Time: 12.00 – 1.00 pm.

Bodhrán with Felix Morgenstern – €5

Please bring bodhrán and beater (we will have some spares on the day). No experience necessary. Maximum 15 per workshop. All ages.

Time: 11.00 am – 1.00 pm.

Animation with Alma Moore and Ciaran Hyland – €3

Learn to use shapes, personality and colour to create characters! No experience necessary. Max 12 per workshop.

Ages 6 – 10. Time: 11 am – 1 pm.

Animation Showcase with LIT Students – €3

An opportunity to learn about the 3rd level animation course, LIT Clonmel Campus, and career opportunities in this field. Students will showcase their animated short films and explain how they were created. Students will also demonstrate fun tricks and exercises that participants can play with. Suitable for students interested in Animation as a career choice. Max 12 per workshop.

Ages 13 – 18. Time: 1.00 – 3.00pm.

Fun with Glass Art with Renée Ní Gig and Mia Carney – €7

Have fun and get creative hand-painting glass jars and making fairytale storm lanterns with festival artists Renée Ní Gig and Mia Carney. All materials supplied. Maximum 10 participants per workshop.

Workshop 1: Ages 7-10. Time 11.00am-12.00pm

Workshop 2: Ages 11-14. Time 12.30-1.30pm

Location: 4, Bridge Street (beside Bombay Kebab House)


Make & Do with Jane McLoughlin – €3

Have fun and get creative! All materials donated by Jane’s Montessori, Ballyneale. Maximum 10 participants per workshop.

Workshop 1: Ages: 4-6 years. Time 10.00 – 10.50 am.

Workshop 2: Ages: 4-6 years. Time 11.00 – 11.50 am.

Location: Community Hall, Carrickbeg


Creativity and Songwriting with Will McLellan – €3

Learn steps to the creative process of songwriting and have some fun. No experience necessary. Maximum 10 per workshop.

Ages 10 – 16 Time: 11.30 am – 1.00 pm.
